What is a Microsite?

A Microsite is small website that will typically sit within your social media profile like Instagram. They are specifically designed to be mobile device friendly. Below is an example of the one I have on my Instagram profile for Ready Steady Excel.

Benefits of a Microsite

The thing I love about a Microsite is they are super easy to update and maintain. I don't even need to buy a website domain name or hosting service. I keep it nice and simple, with just the links that I would like to share. These links can be promotions, contact details or anything else you want to link.

Are Microsites free?

There are services available such as Tap Bio or LinkTree, which do have free options. However, they will include adverts to their services and the design can be a bit restrictive.

My recommendation is to use Canva to create your Microsite. This way you can create your own design completely for free. Canva has a number of templates to help you get started.
